Bryn Hafod Primary School and Glan yr Afon Primary School are non – selective Local  Authority maintained County Primary Schools. We have pupils ranging from 3 – 11 years, which includes nursery provision.  

The admission of pupils to Bryn Hafod Primary School and Glan yr Afon Primary School is in accordance with the LA’s regulations: 
Children are admitted at the beginning of the school year in which they reach the age of 5 (i.e. they are admitted in September if they will become 5 by the following August). Children start morning / afternoon Nursery the academic year (September) after their third birthday. We also 
accept children in the term following their third 
birthday. 

Bryn Hafod also have a Local Authority Special Resource Base (SRB) catering for pupils with a Statement of Special Educational Needs from across Cardiff.
