Bringing out the best in each other!

The Rainbow Federation Song!

Children from across the federation wrote the words and composed this song with "The Song Doctor"

Welcome to our Federation website.

I am the Executive Headteacher of The Rainbow Federation and I share my time in both schools during the week. Each school has a member of staff who has the role of Head of School. In Bryn
Hafod Primary School Mrs Ceri Porter is Head of School and in Glan yr Afon Primary School Mr Graham Matthews is Head of School.

On 24th February 2020 Bryn Hafod and Glan yr Afon Primary Schools became the Rainbow Federation.
Together we aim to work together and share expertise, growing success and being collectively responsible for everyone in our community. Through working collaboratively with our children, parents, carers, staff, governors and all stakeholders we will drive an innovative approach to teaching and learning and develop our place within
the community.

At The Rainbow Federation we pride ourselves on holding a vision for our pupils that ensures that all pupils achieve the very best education. Our mission is:
"To be a successful, child-centred school at the heart of our community. We aim to be a learning organisation  where stakeholders work actively together with our pupils, to ensure they receive a rich, inspiring and
engaging education; enabling every child to be physically, creatively, technologically, emotionally and academically fit for life.

Our vision statement is "Bringing out the best in each other".

We ensure that the opportunities we offer are consistent and mirrored across both school sites. We share resources, staff, governors and school sites to deliver excellent provision and learning for all.

Both schools in the federation have wonderful school grounds and run Forest Schools sessions during the year for all pupils.

We have a school dog called Skully.

He visits each school for one day each week. He is a cockapoo and is a trained School Mentor Dog and has received the Gold Award. Skully works with Mrs Rutter (BH) and Mrs Bryant (GYA).

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us directly with any queries you may have and search the individual websites for further details.

We look forward to welcoming you as part of our federation family.
