I have lived in Cardiff since 1996 and am married with an adult daughter. I work for a local firm that supplies water monitoring equipment. I have been a governor since 2015 when I joined the Bryn Hafod governing body. My areas of interest in school are Science and Information Technology and within the governing body, I am usually responsible for inducting new governors and for governor training. I was privileged to chair the committee that brought about the federation of our two schools in 2020, I have found that being a school governor can be hard work, but ultimately is a very rewarding experience.
